James Murphy

<p>James Murphy is a co-founder and the CEO of LMNT.</p><p>He’s spent most of his career in the health space — focused on building brands providing dietary and lifestyle interventions to chronic inflammatory conditions. He’s also been an investor in dozens of brands such as Primal Kitchen, Thrive Market, and Levels Health. James is a co-founding advisor in brands such as Pioneer Pastures, and has built 5 natural products brands in partnership with leading experts in health. Not all the brands have worked out, which provided excellent lessons.</p><p>James plans to be in this role with LMNT for the long-term, finding this mission deeply personal and purposeful. He experiences the business landscape as a rich learning ground, and is particularly interested in building businesses aligned with our human biology and finding healthier ways of working.</p><p>A Yale Humanities grad, James has stayed connected to his alma mater through Accelerate Yale, a group that supports entrepreneurship, and guest facilitating at the Yale School of Management. Outside the office, he enjoys the Montana wilderness, carpentry projects around the house, and writing music. He lives in Bozeman, MT with his wife Campbell and daughter Ember.</p>
